Properties Unique was established two and a half years ago by owner and proprietor Vivien Herrera-Lee and offers a luxurious alternative to hotels for those visiting the North East on either a short or long-term basis. Vivien explained: “My prime concern is for our guests and we never hesitate to go that extra mile for them. Lots of our guests are coming from over seas, often alone, so it’s very important that they are made to feel welcome from the minute they arrive. We personally meet them either at the airport or railway station, drive them to their accommodation and familiarise them with the area.
We make a special point to keep in touch throughout their stay, making sure they have every thing they need. We receive excellent reviews from all our guests, which I am so proud of.
In acknowledgment of such an exceptional level of personal service, Vivien and her team were named as winners of the Outstanding Customer Service award in the Special Ambassador for Tourism category of the 2006 Alive awards, following on from their previous success in 2005.
I would like to pay tribute to the tremendous staff I have, especially my son Ishmael, who is our Marketing Director and since joining the Company has been extremely instrumental in raising the company profile and bringing in new business. Without good staff, a company can fail miserably and I’m lucky to have such an excellent team.
